The HCG diet protocol consists of a 500-calorie diet by Dr. Simeons. The protocol is very specific as to what kinds of foods are allowed and when they may be eaten. Many HCG recipes have been developed to conform to the protocol and some are provided here for you.

Tea, coffee, and water are allowed with no limit. The recommended sweetener is stevia.

Vegetable Instructions:
One vegetable is allowed at lunch and one at dinner. The vegetables allowed include tomatoes, spinach, celery, cucumber, onions, cabbage, radishes, asparagus, fennel, beet greens, lettuce, and chard.

Meat Requirements:
Certain meats are allowed in a 100-gram serving. Chicken breast, beef, white fish, and other lean meats are allowed.

Carb Requirements:
One piece of Melba toast or one thin breadstick is allowed at lunch and dinner.

Fruit Instructions:
One fruit serving at lunch and dinner may consist of a small apple, orange, a half of a grapefruit, or a few strawberries.

HCG recipes should be flavorful and interesting. Salt, pepper, vinegar, and lemon juice are all allowed. Seasonings and cooking methods, like grilling, add to the flavor of the low calorie meals. Apple Snack
Core and slice an apple. Sprinkle with cinnamon for a sweet snack. Apples are also good with lemon juice and a little salt sprinkled on them.

Taco Salad
Cook 100 grams lean ground beef, steak, or chicken breast. Add salt and pepper, cumin, garlic powder, cayenne, and onion powder to taste. Serve on top of spinach leaves or shredded lettuce.
